Good Shepherd Lutheran Church holds Holy Week services [MARCH 23, 2005] Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will have a service Thursday evening at 7 with Holy Communion. The following evening there will be a Good Friday Tenebrae service at 7. The Easter Sunday service with Holy Communion will be at 8 a.m., with a breakfast to follow, served by the youth of the church. The public is welcome. The church is at 1106 N. Zion Holy Week services
[MARCH 22, 2005] Zion Lutheran Church, 205 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, will conduct Maundy Thursday services with Holy Communion at 12:15 and 7 p.m. The theme will be "The Lamb of God who has mercy on us." Good Friday services will be at 12:15 and 7 p.m., with the theme "The Lamb of God who bore our shame." A special sacrament of holy baptism will be conducted on Easter Saturday at 7 p.m. Easter morning activities begin with the 6 a.m. sunrise service, followed by Easter breakfast at 7 a.m. Worship services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. also will be held with the theme "The Lamb of God who gives us peace."
