Trailing by seven at the half, Lincoln rallied to within three
points at 44-41 before Maryville took complete control of the game,
outscoring the Preachers 30-6 in the last 10 minutes. "We just ran
out of gas, and their constant pressure completely took us out of
our offensive game," Clark said. The Preachers are now 0-4.
LCC was led in scoring by Tyler Smith, Matt Searby and Howard
Wickersham with 12 points each. Wickersham was also the leading
rebounder, with six.
For the Maryville Saints, Mike Turpin led the scoring with 14 and
Ryan Klein added 11. Fifteen of the 17 players for Maryville scored.
The Preachers are in action next on Dec. 6, when they host
Principia College.
