ELKHART -- Evelyn Alberta Kutz, 75, of Elkhart, died at 9:18 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation is set for 4 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Rev. Dan Wissmann will preside.

Burial is at Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg, IL

Mrs. Kutz was born to John and Alice Primm Drake on June 4, 1930 in Logan County. She married Harold E. Kutz on January 7, 1951 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Emden.

She worked at ALMH. 48 years as a switchboard operator and admitting attendant and was member of the Lincoln Immanuel Lutheran Choir.

Survivors include four sons, Doug Kutz of St. Louis, MO, Greg (Carissa) Kutz of Lincoln, Jeff (Carol) Kutz of Elkhart, Bruce (Joanne) Kutz of Aurora; three daughters, Donna (Lance) Vaughan of Mt. Pulaski, Debra (John) Swaringen of Hobe Sound, FL, Dawn (David) Kutz-Crawford of Lincoln; and one brother, Ralph (Mary Ellen) Drake of Girard. She had 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both Parents and 2 sisters

Millard C. “Si” Bailey  Send a link to a friend

 Millard C. “Si” Bailey, 89, of Mount Pulaski died at 9:50 a.m. on Sept. 14, 2005 at Vonderleith Living Center, Mount Pulaski.

Mr. Bailey was born to George and Grace Clagg Bailey on June 23, 1916 in Jasper County. He married Dorotha Ann Allen on Jan. 18, 1946 in Louisville, KY.

He is survived by five sons, Steven (Phyllis) Bailey, Mount Pulaski, Ronald (Phyllis) Bailey, Mount Pulaski, Gary (Shirley) Bailey, Springfield, Denis (Linda) Bailey, Mount Pulaski , Glenn Bailey, Lincoln; two daughters, Jo Ann (John) Cravens, Springfield, Jeanne (Bill) Treakle, Lincoln; 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Mr. Bailey was a retired machinist for 16 years at Lehn and Fink and Stetson China for 11 years in Lincoln. He was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, two sisters and a brother.

Mr. Bailey was laid to rest at Mount Pulaski Cemetery. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Edna Mae Beccue  Send a link to a friend

Edna Mae Beccue, 86, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005 at Leroy Manor, Leroy where she has resided since 2001.

There was no visitation. She was laid to rest on Saturday at the Atlanta Cemetery. Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta handled arrangements.

Mrs. Beccue was born January 16, 1919 in rural McLean, the daughter of Clauda and Leona Pickett Hamblen. She married George A. Beccue on Oct. 10,1939 at Wheaton. Mr. Beccue died May 27, 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Morath, Atlanta; three grandchildren, Glen (Debbie) Horath, Indiana, Chestnut Merlin (Michelle) Horath, Angela (Clinton) Myers; seven great grandchildren and a great great grandson.
She is also survived by three brothers, Homer, Sr., Leroy, Carl Hamblen Kenney, Lyle Hamblen, Las Vegas, NV.; and one sister, Leona Oberst, Normal.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Glen; three brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Beccue was a homemaker.

Memorials can be made to her family.

 


John F. Coleman

John F. Coleman, 74, of Lincoln died at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation for Mr. Coleman will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.

Service will take place Thursday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Tom Gerdts will preside.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln with full military rites.

Mr. Coleman was born to James Thomas and Rosie Hazel Coleman on Nov. 16, 1930 in Boling Green, KY. He married Joyce Ruth Hughes on June 8, 1956 in Evansville, IN.

He retired from Pittsburg Plate Glass Co. He was also a transporter for Community Action in Lincoln.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Lincoln; one son, Keith (Ann) Coleman, Lincoln; two daughters, Jamie (Tim)Brennan, Lincoln, Jean Coleman, Lincoln; three sisters, Oma Lee Curtis of Lawrence, KS., Roberta Cheaney of Evansville, IN., Earline Vincent of Lincoln. He had five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Judy Schaub; one son, Joseph D. Coleman; three brothers and three sisters.
