[AUG. 23, 2006]  Springfield talk radio station WMAY, Hot Talk 970 AM, will broadcast live from Lincoln on Thursday and Friday for the Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival and again in mid-September.

The Lincoln Art & Balloon Festival runs Friday through Sunday, and festival participants have been invited to be guests on the air.

The WMAY broadcasts from Lincoln on Sept. 14 and 15 will coordinate with the opening of the 36th annual Abraham Lincoln National Railsplitting Contest and Crafts Festival. Guests will include members of the Logan Railsplitting Association as well as participants in the railsplitting contest.

The previous promotional event in Logan County that WMAY participated in was the Elkhart open house in June, which garnered great success.

Lincoln resident and native Sally Brackney is the sales representative for WMAY who has been coordinating the promotional events for the radio station.
