McFadden earns national volleyball honors at Olivet Nazarene

BOURBONNAIS -- For the second
year in a row, Olivet Nazarene University volleyball players
Michelle McFadden and Megan Gullickson have been named NAIA
All-Americans. McFadden was named an honorable mention for the
second straight year. Gullickson was named to the NAIA third team,
after receiving honorable mention last year.

McFadden, a sophomore middle blocker from Lincoln,
was named to her second NAIA All-American squad. This season,
McFadden, who missed the team's first 14 matches, finished with the
fourth-highest kill total, with 349. She finished second on the team
in blocks, posting 121.
Gullickson, a senior setter from Bourbonnais High
School, was also named to her second NAIA All-American squad. This
season, she had a team-high 1,831 assists. She also had 547 digs, 88
aces and 73 blocks. She joins Kylie Redman (1999) and Julie Lernan
(2001-2003) as Olivet Nazarene setters to receive NAIA honorable
mention. Gullickson became Olivet Nazarene's all-time leader in
digs, breaking Ivana Fabryova's record. Gullickson finished her
career with 2,320 digs.

McFadden and Gullickson are the fourth and fifth
players in Olivet Nazarene history to be named two-time NAIA
All-Americans. Earlier this season, they were named Chicagoland
Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference and NAIA
First Team All-Region VII.
The
Olivet
Nazarene volleyball team finished the season with a 30-16
overall record and an 8-1 mark in the CCAC.
