LINCOLN -- Joanne Donath, 75, died Friday, June 2, 2006,
at 7:10 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. A prayer
service will be at 2 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family
Church, with the Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Donath was employed at Lincoln Community High School
for 25 years. She retired in 1989 as secretary-registrar in
the guidance office.
She was born July 12, 1930, in Quincy to John and
Florence Scherneck Wolf. She married Eugene A. Donath on May
31, 1949, in Lincoln. He died Jan. 24, 2006.
She is survived by one son, Steve (and Susan) Donath of
Cisne; one daughter, Janet (and Marion) Olson of Glen Ellyn;
two brothers, Robert (and Alta) Wolf of Springfield and Dr.
Paul Wolf of Morton Grove; and three grandchildren, Matthew
Olson, Karyn Olson and Calley Donath.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one
son, Joseph Donath.
She was a trustee of East Lincoln Township for 27 years.
She was a member of Holy Family Church of Lincoln and the
Sigma Phi service sorority. She was also a volunteer for the
Red Cross blood bank and at St. Clara's Manor.
Her family moved to Lincoln in 1947, and she graduated
from Lincoln Community High School in 1948.
Memorials may be made to Carroll School, Hospice Care of
Illinois or St. Clara's Manor.

ELKHART
-- Helen W. Tierney, 86, of Elkhart died Wednesday, May 31,
2006, at 7:50 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln.
A funeral Mass for Mrs. Tierney was on Friday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhart, with the
Rev. Thomas Shaw and the Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating.
Visitation preceded the service.
Burial is in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln was in charge of
arrangements.
Mrs. Tierney was a registered nurse at St. Clara's
Hospital in Lincoln and St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
She was born Aug. 7, 1919, at Elkhart to James and
Francis Hasenstaub Willard. She married Maurice Tierney in
1949, and he died in 1956.
Surviving Mrs. Tierney are her five sons, John (and
Connie) Tierney of Highland, James (and Cynthia) Tierney of
Williamsville, Maurice (and Teresa) Tierney of Atlanta,
Robert (and Kelly) Tierney of Cornland and Richard (and Mary
Ellen) Tierney of Murphysboro; one sister, Agnes Reichle of
Lincoln; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, James
Willard.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Elkhart and
the Altar and Rosary Society of the church.
She graduated from Elkhart High School and St. John's
School of Nursing.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church,
Elkhart Fire Department, Elkhart Library or St. John's
Hospital in Springfield.

Helen Letterly

MOUNT PULASKI -- Helen E. Letterly, 90, formerly of
Latham, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at 9:40 p.m. at
Vonderlieth Living Center.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Thomas
Aquinas Catholic Church, with Father Thomas Shaw
officiating. Visitation will be at the church from noon to 1
p.m.
Burial will be in Lake Bank Cemetery, rural Latham.

Mrs. Letterly was a homemaker.
She was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Riverton to John and Ethel
Clement. She married Clifford H. Letterly on Jan. 14, 1939,
in Springfield. He died Jan. 25, 1984.
She is survived by one son, Ronald (and Charlene)
Letterly of Leesburg, Fla.; three daughters, Marietta (and
Len) Cmiel of Orland Park, Bernadine (and Lloyd) Little of
Latham and Kathleen (and Bruno) Tondello of Oreana; one
sister, June Fry of Springfield; nine grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; and
one step-great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, four
sisters and one grandchild.
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
Memorials may be made to Vonderlieth Living Center, St.
Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or the Latham Rescue Squad.

Josephine Andrews

LINCOLN -- A graveside service for Josephine C. Andrews will
be at noon Sunday, June 4, at St. Mary's Cemetery, with the
Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Andrews, 79, died March 7, 2006, at the Christian
Village.
She is survived by her four children, George Andrews of
Peoria, Michael Andrews of Springfield, Kathleen Kirshner of
Chicago and John Andrews of Lincoln; one brother, Tony
Danosky of Winfield; six grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
She was born Jan. 27, 1927, in Lincoln to Juluis and
Gisela Baldin Danosky. She married Peter C. Andrews on Oct.
12, 1946, in Lincoln. He died March 28, 2003, in Lincoln.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers.
