LINCOLN -- Steven W. Landers, 57, of Lincoln died Monday,
March 13, 2006, at 2:07 a.m. at St. John's Hospital in
Springfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, following a
prayer service at 3:45. His funeral will be at 1 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. R. Anthony Lee
officiating.
Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Beason.
Mr. Landers worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Peoria.
He was born July 10, 1948, in Lincoln to James Landers
and Eva Robbins Landers. He married Carol Jones and they
were divorced. He married Nancy Carson on Dec. 18, 1994, in
Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln; his mother, Eva
Lahr of Lincoln; his former wife, Carol (and husband Mike)
Berger of Lincoln; four daughters, Tami (and Brian)
Brumfield, Jodie Towle, Stephanie Rocco and Teresa (and
Eric) Baker, all of Lincoln; six sisters, Bonnie (and Henry)
Hewitt of Tabor City, N.C., Linda Johnson of Washington,
Kathleen Neumann of Findley, Mary Ann Landers of Lincoln,
Jenny Johnson of Emden and Pam Barker of Pekin; five
brothers, Terry (and Laverne) Landers of Lincoln, Mike
Landers of Clinton, Clarence Landers of Arizona, Danny
Landers of Decatur and Luke Landers of Decatur; and 10
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother,
Ronnie.
He was a member of Holy Family Church.

L.E. 'Man' Taylor

HARTSBURG -- L.E. "Man" Taylor, 85, of Hartsburg died
Sunday, March 12, 2006, at 10 p.m. at Maple Ridge Care
Centre in Lincoln.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St.
John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with the Rev. David
Russell officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m.
at the church.
Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery, with military
rites at the grave site.
Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln is handling
arrangements.
Mr. Taylor was the president of Hartsburg State Bank for
many years. Prior to banking, he was involved in the office
at the former Deaconess Hospital, which is now Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
He proudly served his country in the Army during World
War II.
He was born Jan. 11, 1921, in Emden to George W. and
Katherine McGough Taylor. He married A. June Aper on Aug. 6,
1947 in Peoria.
He is survived by his wife, of Hartsburg, and a half
sister, Irma Boyd of Virden.
One sister, Blanche Hitchcock, preceded him in death.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the
American Legion in Hartsburg.
During his military service, he earned the rank of
private first class and received the Bronze Star medal for
meritorious service in ground operations against the enemy.
He was an avid sports fan and followed the Cubs and the
Fighting Illini.
Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran
Church or the Hartsburg Fire and Rescue Squad.

James Fielden

MIDDLETOWN -- James H. Fielden, 58, of Middletown died
Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 10:40 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.
Following visitation, his body will be cremated. Burial
of cremains will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, at a
later date.
Mr. Fielden was an educator for Richland Community
College at Logan Correctional Center in Lincoln.
He was born July 14, 1947, in Springfield to Samuel
Charles and Elizabeth Harbert Fielden. He married Sandra
Phillips in Springfield on Aug. 30, 1969.
He is survived by his wife, of Middletown; two sons,
Anthony Fielden of Mount Pulaski and Mark (and Jennifer)
Fielden of Winchester; one daughter, Melissa (and Michael)
Berry of Mount Pulaski; one sister, Nina Fielden of
Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother,
William G. Fielden.
He was a retired volunteer fireman for Middletown Fire
Department, a past school board member for New
Holland-Middletown School District and a Cub Scout leader in
Middletown.
He graduated from Illinois State University in Normal.
Memorials may be made to Middletown Fire and Rescue.

MASON CITY -- Dorothy Evelyn Strader, 82, of Easton died
Friday, March 10, 2006, at 1:48 a.m. at the Mason City Area
Nursing Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hurley
Funeral Home in Mason City. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Al Sample
officiating.
Burial will be in Walker's Grove Cemetery, Easton.
She was born June 24, 1923, at Easton in Crane Creek
Township to Russell and Pearl Clark Riegel. She married
Virgil Strader on Jan. 31, 1948, in Springfield. He preceded
her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet (and Jim) Ovall of
Easton; two sons, Marvin (and Nedra) Strader of Easton and
Douglas Strader of Pekin; two brothers, Gerald Riegel of
Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., and Ronald (and Dixie) Riegel of
Easton; three grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren;
three great-grandchildren and seven
step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one
sister.
Mrs. Strader was a member of the Easton United Methodist
Church, United Methodist Woman's Club, Mason County Farm
Bureau and Home Extension.

David Knobeloch

MINIER -- David D. "Knobby" Knobeloch, 65, of Minier died
Friday, March 10, 2006, at 12:40 a.m. at his home.
His funeral was Monday morning at the Armington
Christian Church. The Rev. Andy Johnson, the Rev. Chuck Webb
and the Rev. Ed Loyd officiated. Visitation was at
the church on Sunday and an hour prior to the
service on Monday.
Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, handled arrangements.
Mr. Knobeloch was employed by the Illinois Department of
Transportation for 33 years. He retired in 2001.
He was born June 16, 1940, in Minier to William H. and
Louella Sparling Bratcher. He was raised by his mother and
his stepfather, Glen Knobeloch. He married Eileen Brandt.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Sandy Phelps
of Bloomington and Cindy (and Dave) Peek of Stanford; five
grandchildren, Ashley and Lacy Phelps and Jessica, Katie and
Taylor Peek; four sisters, Glenna (and Irv) McCauley of
Armington, Donita (and Rick) Grimsley of Lexington, ReNea
(and Jim) Cato of Mackinaw and Jody (and Terry) Branham of
Lincoln City, Ore; and a sister-in-law, Pat Bratcher of
Louisville, Ky. He considered his wife's family as his own.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather and
brother, Billy Gene Bratcher.
He was a member of the Armington Christian Church.
He was an avid Cardinal baseball fan. He dearly loved
baseball and pitched in the Corn Valley Conference several
years. He enjoyed attending any sport function that his
grandchildren participated in.
He loved his family, his wife's family and their many
friends. He and his friends enjoyed many good times while
sitting at the Fireside Cafe in Minier having coffee.
The Knobelochs thank everyone for all the help and
kindness given to them since his onset of Lou Gehrig's
disease.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Minier
Rescue Squad, Armington Rescue Squad or the elevator fund at
Armington Christian Church.
Beatrice Cameron

LINCOLN -- Beatrice M. Cameron, 95, formerly of Oak Ridge,
Tenn., died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 8:56 p.m. at St.
Clara's Manor.
Her body will be cremated. Family services will be in Oak
Ridge, Tenn., at a later time, with burial in Oak Ridge
Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home
in Lincoln.
Mrs. Cameron was a secretary at Lockheed Martin Energy in
Tennessee.
She was born Aug. 31, 1910, at Garrett to David and Olive
Reeder Martin. She married Walter Cameron, and he preceded
her in death.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, David
"Pat" Martin, and one sister, Marjorie Mills.
She is survived by nieces and nephews David and Sandra
Mills of East Peoria, Susan and Jeff Fults of Lincoln, John
and Nancy Mills of Springfield, and Elizabeth Keefe of
Lincoln.

MOUNT PULASKI -- Rhoda Mae Mueller, 76, of Mount Pulaski
died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 8:55 a.m. at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
Graveside memorial services for her and her husband,
Richard Mueller, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Pulaski
Cemetery. Military rites will also be conducted for Mr.
Mueller.
There will be no visitation
Arrangements are being handled by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski.
Mrs. Mueller was a homemaker.
She was born Aug. 15, 1929, at Mount Pulaski to Jasper A.
and Mary A. Ryan Veech. She married Charles Richard Mueller
in Mount Pulaski on Aug. 15, 1947. He died Dec. 14, 2005.
She is survived by three daughters, Christina LaVonne
(and Donald) Baack of Arlington, Texas, Cynthia Elaine Tibbs
of Sumerduck, Va., and Ricky Lorraine (and James) Atkins of
Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Emagene P. Green of Mount
Pulaski; two brothers, Merle W. (and Priscilla) Veech of
Arizona and Delmar (and Harlean) Veech of Cornland; six
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

EMDEN -- Gertrude Louise Rademaker, 94, died
Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at 7:27 p.m. at her son's home in
Riverview, Fla.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter
Lutheran Church in Emden, with the Rev. David L. Hofer and
the Rev. Frank Pieper co-officiating. Visitation will be
from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to
the service on Tuesday.
Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home
in Lincoln.
Mrs. Rademaker was a homemaker.
She was born Oct. 9, 1911, in Hartsburg to Garbrand and
Anna Wibben Lessen. She married John J. Rademaker on Jan. 6,
1931, in Hartsburg. He died May 20, 1999.
She is survived by one daughter, Hazel Alberts of Lincoln; one son, Gary (and Nancy) Rademaker of
Riverview, Fla.; six grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, one
sister and a son-in-law, Jerry Alberts.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Emden
and the Ladies Aid of the church.
Memorials may be made to her church or to LifePath
Hospice.
