Lincoln Christian College and Seminary professor publishes book that unravels the mysteries of the book of Revelation Send a link to a friend [SEPT. 8, 2006] Lincoln Christian College and Seminary professor publishes book that unravels the mysteries of the book of Revelation Lincoln Christian College and Seminary's Dr. Robert Lowery is the author of a new book entitled "Revelation's Rhapsody," published by the College Press Publishing Company. Lowery will offer a book signing at the LCCS Bookstore on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Lowery's book offers a simplified view into the book of Revelation. He provides guidelines for the reader to assist in the interpretation of the last book of the Bible. Lowery is professor of New Testament and dean of Lincoln Christian Seminary. He earned his master's degree in theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and his doctorate from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. He has taught courses at Princeton Theological Seminary and Harvard Theological School, and has been on faculty at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary since 1975. [Lincoln Christian College and Seminary news release] Fall lectureship theme announced: 'Evil and the Cross of Christ' [AUG. 31, 2006] Lincoln Christian College and Seminary is pleased to announce that Dr. Paul Copan, Pledger Family Chair of Philosophy and Ethics at Palm Beach Atlantic University and president of the Evangelical Philosophical Society, will present the annual James D. Strauss Lectures on Oct. 3 and 4. Copan will deliver three lectures under the theme "Evil and the Cross of Christ." Copan has a doctorate in philosophy from Marquette University and has authored and co-authored books from Bethany House, Baker, Chalice Press and other publishing houses. Among his writings are "True for You, But Not for Me"; "That's Just Your Interpretation"; "How Do You Know You're Not Wrong?"; "What Is God That We Are Mindful of Him?" forthcoming from Chalice Press; and "Creation Out of Nothing: A Biblical, Philosophical, and Scientific Exploration," co-authored with William Lane Craig. Copen has co-edited three books on the historical Jesus and three other titles relating to the philosophy of religion: "The Rationality of Theism"; "The Routledge Companion to Philosophy of Religion," forthcoming from Routledge; and "Philosophy of Religion: Classic and Contemporary Issues," forthcoming from Blackwell. He has also contributed a number of articles to various professional journals. Copan and his wife, Jacqueline, have five children: Johanna, Peter, Valerie, Kristen and Jonathan.
