There is no visitation. Burial will be in Camp
Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
Mrs. Burger retired in 1997 from Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a nurse's
aide.
She was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Porterville,
Calif., to Clarence Lee and Verna Ellen Durbin
Whiteside. She married John W. Burgerdate on Sept.
3, 1953, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on
Nov. 29, 1989.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and
one stepgrandson.
She was also preceded in death by one sister.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's
Hospital.
