Analina Coers

[JAN. 5, 2007]  NEW HOLLAND -- Analina W. Coers, 83, of New Holland died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at 8:20 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland, with the Rev. Charles Olander officiating.

Burial will be in Richmond Grove Cemetery, rural New Holland.

Mrs. Coers and her husband set up in farming north of Emden, then moved to a Scully lease northeast of New Holland until retiring in New Holland in 1985. She was head cook at New Holland-Middletown School until retiring in 1974.

She was born Feb. 17, 1923, at Hartsburg to Seide F. and Anna Rademaker Conrady. She married Edgar M. "Jim" Coers on May 23, 1943, at Fort Riley, Kan. He preceded her in death Dec. 9, 2003.

She is survived by four sons, Alvin (and Arlene) Coers of Centralia, Stanley (and Scarlet) Coers of Pekin, Lester (and Dawn) Coers of New Holland and Lynn (and Sue) Coers of Manito; two sisters, Ruth Guill of Watseka and Lula Belle (and Allen) Barry of Emden; one brother, Earl Conrady of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Conrady.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of New Holland, the Concordia Society and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She had been baptized as an infant and confirmed on May 30, 1936, at St. John's Lutheran Church of Hartsburg.

She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary 715.

She graduated from Hartsburg High School in 1940.

She loved gardening and quilting.

Memorials may be made to New Holland Zion Lutheran Church or New Holland Fire and Rescue.
