Vannah Geskey

[JAN. 5, 2007]  DECATUR -- Vannah Mae Geskey, 84, of Decatur died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at 3:57 p.m. at her home.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Julie Azbell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mrs. Geskey was a homemaker.

She was born Jan. 22, 1922, in Brandenburg, Ky., to Z. Floyd and Myrtle Leslie Pryor. She married Delber D. Geskey on Nov. 29, 1941, in Huntsville, Ala. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1995.

She is survived by three sons, Ronald D. (and Carolyn) Geskey of Auburn Hills, Mich., Larry R. (and Kay) Geskey of Decatur and Rob Geskey of Streamwood; one sister, Edith Jones of Pompano Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was a Protestant, baptized as a Methodist.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
