Bertha Gallagher

[July 03, 2007]  Bertha Marie Gallagher, 97, of Lincoln died Monday, July 2, 2007, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holland Barry and Bennett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jame Hahs of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Gallagher was a homemaker.

She was born May 22, 1910, at Middletown to Frank and Nora Ott. She married Oscar Gallagher, and he preceded her in death in 1979.

She is survived by one son, Marvin Gallagher of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Franklin and Donald Gallagher, and a sister, Lula.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lincoln.

Mrs. Gallagher was a hardworking farm wife. She raised three children and was always a help to her husband. She enjoyed being part of the everyday details at the farm.

Memorials may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
