WAYNESVILLE -- Vicki L. Garner, 56, of
Waynesville died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at 9:25 a.m. at her home.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Quiram Peasley
Funeral Home in Atlanta. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at
the funeral home, with Andy Glass officiating. |

Cremation rites have been accorded.
Mrs. Garner was a dedicated wife, mother and
grandmother.
She was born Feb. 25, 1951, in Peoria to Lloyd
and Elizabeth Behrends Martin Sr. She married
William E. Garner Jr. on Sept. 28, 1968, at the
Emden Christian Church.
Surviving Mrs. Garner are her husband, "Bill," of
thirty-eight years, of Waynesville; two daughters,
Tracy Garner Vanover of Mason City and Kelly Garner
of Waynesville; two sons, Billy (and Renee) Garner
of Lincoln and Toby (and Dawn) Garner of
Waynesville; her mother, Elizabeth Martin of
Lincoln; four brothers, Don (and April) Martin of
Lincoln, Lloyd "Clem" (and Valerie) Martin of
Waynesville, Brad (and Ingrid) Martin of San Jose
and Jimmy McGrady of Lincoln; and three sisters,
Penny (and Jimmy) Vannoy of Lincoln, Sandy Beck of
Pekin and Becky Lash of Pekin; eight grandchildren;
and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William E.
and Luella Mae Garner Sr. of Easton. |
She was preceded in death by her father,
grandparents and one sister.
Memorials may be made to the Waynesville Fire and
Rescue Department.
