Louise Freeman, 89, formerly of rural
McLean, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at 3:20 p.m. at Christian
Village Nursing Home in Lincoln. |
Mrs. Freeman's funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at the Waynesville United Methodist Church,
with the Rev. Andy Maxwell officiating. Visitation
will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta and from 10
a.m. until the service time at the church on
Thursday.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Waynesville.
Mrs. Freeman and her late husband were dairy
farmers at McLean. She had also worked at Owen
Nursery in Bloomington and taught at Fairview
School.
She was born July 19, 1918, in rural McLean to
Henry P. and Gladys V. Williams Finfrock. She
married Daniel D. Freeman on March 22, 1941, in
Waynesville. He preceded her in death on July 30,
1995.
She is survived by her children, Leonard (and
Linda) Freeman of Palatka, Fla., Gary (and Ruth)
Freeman of Lincoln and Bonnie (and Paul) Plebanek of
Homer Glen; eight grandchildren, Betsy Freeman, Noah
(and Jennifer) Freeman, Lindsey (and Jeff) Kerr,
Adam (and Jenny) Freeman, Allison Plebanek, Michael
Plebanek, Daniel Plebanek and Courtney Plebanek; and
three great-grandchildren, Gabriel Freeman, Nathan
Freeman and Jordan Freeman Kerr. |
She was a member of the Waynesville United Methodist
Church and the Waynesville Woman's Club.
She graduated from the Waynesville High School
and attended Illinois State Normal University, where
she received her teaching certificate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the
Waynesville United Methodist Church.
