Lincoln 12U split with Olympia

[May 30, 2008]  The Lincoln Heat split with Olympia over the weekend.

Max Cook started on the hill for the Heat. He went 5 1/3 innings before being relieved by Tyler Horchem. The Heat had a three-run lead going into the bottom of the sixth inning. An error and a couple of bloopers allowed Olympia to tie the game up in the sixth. The Heat ended up losing in extra innings 4-3. Tyler Horchem and Cody Heidbreder each had a couple hits in the game. Cody Heidbreder also had a home run.

Peyton Ebelherr took the mound for the Heat in the second game and went the distance. Tyler Horchem, Ryan Sloan, and Jordan Yarcho each had a couple of hits. Joey Olden, Max Cook, Collin Antoine and Cody Heidbreder each had a hit. The Heat went on to win the second game 10-4.

The Heat won both games of a doubleheader Wednesday night with the Midstate Crushers.
