LaDonna Merreighn

[December 04, 2009]  HARTSBURG -- LaDonna L. Merreighn, 56, of Hartsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at 10:04 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Jacob Skelton officiating.

Private burial will be at a later date.

Mrs. Merreighn was a beautician.

She was born Jan. 9, 1953, in Lincoln to Herbert and Vivian Presswood Jones. She married Billie J. Merreighn, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2001.

She is survived by her mother, Vivian Shanle of Lincoln; one daughter, Joanie (and Art) Sutton of Lincoln; two sons, Billie (and Jodi) Merreighn of Lincoln and Joshua (and Lisa) Merreighn of Hartsburg; two sisters, Becky (and Andy) Adams of Lincoln and Harriet (and Dennis) Musselman of Clinton; four brothers, Dave (and Angie) Musselman of Wapella, Jack (and Tammy) Musselman of Kenney, Randy Jones of Pinckneyville and Tim Jones of Pinckneyville; grandchildren Amber Sutton, Lucas (and Alicia) Sutton, Quentin and Peyton Merreighn, Seth Turley, Billie III and McKenzie Merreighn, and Mali and Jaden Trussel; one great-granddaughter, Kaydence Sutton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral Director

She was a member of the Lifepointe Church of God in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center, American Cancer Society or Lifepointe Church of God, Lincoln.
