Kevin
Bateman is sworn in as the new District 6 Logan County Board
member by Circuit Judge Thomas Harris yesterday afternoon.
Bateman says he has thought of becoming involved with local
government for some time and seized the opportunity to be
appointed to take the place of Michael McIntosh, who won election
as the Logan County state's attorney.
Board chairman Terry Carlton says Bateman
will initially be placed on the committees for roads and bridges, airport, and animal
control.
Kevin and his wife, Peggy, live at 455
Campus View Drive. They have four grown children, two
grandchildren and two more grandchildren expected soon.
