MOUNT PULASKI -- Miriam P. Johnson, 81,
of Mount Pulaski, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at 2:05 a.m. at
Vonderlieth Living Center.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Mount
Pulaski United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kevin
Treptow officiating. |
Burial will be in Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was a retired schoolteacher.
She was born Sept. 16, 1928, in Normal to Walter
and Sina Lutes Sullivan. She married Kenneth Johnson
in Mount Pulaski on June 28, 1952. He preceded her
in death on July 30, 1985.
She is survived by two daughters, Sina (and
Richard) Kraneis of Chicago and Melinda (and
Michael) Cowan of Beason; one sister, Carolyn Beatty
of Mount Pulaski; and four grandchildren.
She was a member of Mount Pulaski United
Methodist Church, PEO Sisterhood, ZTA sorority from
Millikin University and Logan-DeWitt Retired
