LINCOLN -- Charles Everett Sherrer Jr.
"Charlie", 63, of Lincoln, passed away on August 23, 2010 at his
residence. |
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM
Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Burial will be at a later
date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Riverton
with full military detail.
Charlie was born April 14, 1947 in Lincoln, IL., the
son of Charles Everett Sherrer Sr. and Leona (Lee)
Sherrer. He proudly served his country in the United
States Army.
Surviving are three sons: Charles Everett Sherrer
III and Brian S. Sherrer (Sheri) both of
Springfield, IL., and John W. Leavitt of Alton, IL.;
companion Kathy Sherrer of North Little Rock,
Arkansas; eight grandchildren; siblings: Gary
Sherrer, Gene Sherrer, Connie (Sherrer) Gantt, Dave
Sherrer, Mike Sherrer, Carol (Sherrer) Paulen,
Robert Sherrer, and Steve Sherrer; and several
nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one
sister, Linda (Sherrer) Root.
Memorial donations may be made to the family in care
of Kathy Sherrer and will be accepted at the funeral
home.
