Clinton 'Clint' Martin

[February 24, 2010]  ATLANTA -- Clinton A. "Clint" Martin, 30, of Atlanta, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at 11:03 a.m. in Bloomington.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Atlanta Christian Church, with Maurice Stribling officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney.

Arrangements are by Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Mr. Martin was employed by Stiles Automotive in Bloomington as a mechanic.

He was born Sept. 17, 1979, in Lincoln, the son of Kenneth R. and Vicki Compton Martin. He married Nicole Lynn Michelle Bartels on June 21, 2008.

He is survived by his wife, "Nikki" and an expected child due later this year; one son, Jackson William Martin of Atlanta; his parents, of Atlanta; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and M. Dianne Bartels of Macomb; two sisters, Kelly Leimbach and Katie Martin, both of Atlanta; his maternal grandfather, Jack Compton of Atlanta; one niece, Kendall Leimbach of Atlanta; and one nephew, Jacob Leimbach of Atlanta.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother.

He was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church.

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed stock car racing and fishing.

He graduated from Olympia High School in 1998.

Memorials may be made to the Martin Children Savings Fund at the Atlanta National Bank, P.O. Box 459, Atlanta, IL 61723.
