Landfill closure
The city
of Lincoln's landscape recycling facility will be closed
today (Wednesday). Workers are in the process of
grinding brush. The landfill will reopen Saturday at 8
a.m.

This

Faulkner after he was arrested on a compulsory
insurance charge. Faulkner, armed with a pistol and a
40-inch sword, was detained Tuesday in northern Pakistan
as he tried to cross the border into Afghanistan on a
mission to avenge the 9/11 attacks and kill Osama bin
Laden, police said. Faulkner, a 51-year-old construction
worker, also was carrying Christian literature and a
small amount of hashish.

In this Friday file photo, a Bosnian army
soldier stands inside a nuclear bunker near the Bosnian town of Konjic, some
40 kilometers south of Sarajevo. Built to withstand nuclear war, the
secret bunker was to shelter communist Yugoslavia's strongman and his inside
circle. Decades later, the massive underground complex is about to be reborn
as one of the world's quirkiest art galleries. The brainchild of a group of Sarajevo artists,
the gallery opens next year and is to stage a
Biennale of Contemporary Art, with the Council of
Europe providing much of the funding.
