LINCOLN --
Charles Henry "Woody" Mattingly, 82, of Lincoln, died Friday, May
14, 2010, at 12:45 a.m. at The Christian Village. He was cremated.Burial will be in Union
Cemetery at a later date.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln
is handling arrangements.
Mr. Mattingly worked as a fireman for the city of
Lincoln for 23 years and retired as assistant fire
chief.
He was an Army Air Force veteran.
He was born Oct. 29, 1927, in Mount Pulaski. His
parents were Henry William and Josephine Utterback
Mattingly. He married Dorothy E. Jones on May 7,
1966, in Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife, of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two
brothers, Woodrow and Homer; and two sisters, Helen
Mattingly and Anna Louise Goodbrake.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He graduated from Mount Pulaski High School.
