MASON CITY -- Myrtie McAllister, 95, of
Mason City, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holland
Barry & Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation
will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. |

Burial will be in Stout Cemetery, Chatham.
Myrtie was born June 18, 1915, in Adair County,
Ky. Her parents were Bud and Ida Pennington
Karnes. She married Ray Curry on Dec. 23, 1931, and
he preceded her in death in December of 1958. She
married Alfred McAllister on April 23, 1973, and he
preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1984.
She is survived by six sons, nine daughters, 35
grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and seven
great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers,
daughters Carolyn Ann and June Preston, two
grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
