LINCOLN -- Ruby Garcia, 94, of Lincoln,
died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, surrounded by the love of her family. |

Private family services will be at Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home. She was born May 10, 1916,
in Grayson County, Ky. Her parents were Jasper and
Artie Keith Cummings. She married Vestie Vincent,
and he preceded her in death in 1971. She later
married Samuel Garcia.
She is survived by her husband, Sam, of Lincoln;
five children, Phyllis (and Duane) Druien of Mason
City, Curtis Vincent of Lincoln, Jo Ann (and Gerald)
Leininger of Lincoln, Norma (and LaVerne) Turner of
Lincoln and Thomas Lynn Vincent of Lincoln; 14
grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 29
great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers;
two sisters; one son, Marvin; and two grandsons,
Mike and Danny Druien.
Memorial donations may be sent to Memorial
Hospice, 720 North Bond St., Springfield, IL 62702;
or will be accepted at Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home on behalf of the family.
