Accidents Sept. 23, 1:01 p.m.
Accident occurred on Woodlawn Road, 32 feet west of North College
Street.

52-year-old female, Lincoln; 2007 Chevrolet Aveo

Wallace, Larry J., 59-year-old male,
Moweaqua; 1996 Chrysler Town & Country
Cody said she was westbound on Woodlawn in the inside lane and
needed to change lanes. She checked her mirrors and proceeded to
pull into the outside lane, striking the vehicle driven by Wallace.
Cody said she thought Wallace was turning.
Sept. 24, 7:04 a.m.
Accident occurred in the 400 block of South Kickapoo.
A licensed driver under the age of 18 was turning south onto
Kickapoo from Decatur Street. The vehicle began to "fishtail" and
the driver lost control, running off the road and into the
McQuellon's Appliance store. The driver was ticketed for driving too
fast for conditions.
Sept. 24, 11:25 a.m.

38-year-old female, Lincoln; 2004 GMC Envoy

Wilson, Sandra A., 61-year-old female,
Lincoln; 2006 Ford Taurus
Zapata said she was behind Wilson in the westbound turn lane at
the intersection of Lincoln Parkway and Woodlawn. The light turned
green and Wilson proceeded to turn, with Zapata following behind. A
third vehicle, unidentified, was coming from the south and also
turned into Wilson's path. Wilson stopped abruptly and Zapata
rear-ended her.
Wilson's account of the accident agreed with Zapata's.
Zapata was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions.
Sept. 25, 4:32 p.m.
Accident occurred in the Heritage Plaza parking lot.

female, Lincoln; 2005 Pontiac Sunbird
Both vehicles were approaching the parking lot exit from
different angles. The drivers did not see one another and collided.
Sept. 27, 1:54 p.m.
Accident occurred in the 400 block of Broadway, 83 feet west of
Sangamon Street.
- Williams, Linda L., 62-year-old female, Atlanta; 2007 Buick
LaCrosse
Williams was parking near the Salt Creek Chiropractic building
when her foot slipped off the brake and onto the accelerator. She
ran into the building, causing damage to the structure.

Lincoln Police Department report for Tuesday, Sept. 28
- Geary, Tawnya, 27-year-old female, of Lincoln, was arrested
Sept. 27 at an unreported location on Class A charge of
deceptive practices and Class A charge of possession of stolen
property.

34-year-old male, of Dawson, arrested Sept. 27 in the southbound
lanes of Interstate 55 at the 114 mile marker on Class A charge
of driving under the influence, Class A charge of possession of
alcohol in an open container and Class A charge of driving too
fast for conditions.

Madden, Roy E., 43-year-old male, of
Denham Springs, La., arrested Sept. 27 in the southbound lanes
of Interstate 55 at the 123 mile marker on Class A charge of
driving with a license suspended and charge of speeding in a
construction zone. Madden was recorded driving 80 mph in a 45
mph speed zone.
