Walk MS is a fundraising event to create a world free of multiple
sclerosis. Get a team together, gather some donations and come to
the walk. Music, prizes and a silent auction are part of the
festivities. Walkers turning in $100 or more receive a
T-shirt. Participants are urged to register early by phone,

Central Illinois
Community Blood Center
is the blood provider to area patients of 15 counties at 12 central
Illinois hospitals. CICBC is the only provider of blood to Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Hopedale Medical Complex, Memorial
Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital. If you have any questions

Glass recycling collection

DETAILS:
Accepting only container glass that originally contained either a
food or beverage product. Clear glass as well as amber, green and
blue will be accepted. Unacceptable items include ceramic pieces,
dishware, light bulbs, fluorescent lights, window glass and mirrors.
For safety reasons, no broken glass will be accepted.
Glass preparation: Rinse containers thoroughly. Remove any metal or
plastic lids and rings from the container. Labels may be left on
containers.
The agency reserves the right to refuse any glass not meeting
preparation or recycling guidelines. Glass will be accepted only on
designated collection dates. The Logan County Joint Solid Waste
Agency does not accept glass at any of its recycling sites.
Collection will be canceled in case of inclement weather or
excessive heat.
