Traffic
on Interstate 405 is seen from the Sherman Oaks Galleria mall
parking lot in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Beginning
Friday evening, authorities will begin shutting down a 10-mile
segment of the freeway for 53 hours so crews can demolish one side
of the Mulholland Drive bridge as part of a $1 billion highway
improvement project.

its pad and received serious damage after last

DC Comics says it is prepping its readers and
fans for its upcoming relaunch in late summer, offering the free
guide to its multiple relaunches of comic characters and series. The
guide, "DC Comics -- The New 52," will be given away free starting July
20 at comic book shops and at the annual Comic-Con International in
San Diego, which starts next week.
