Summers receives intensive physical therapy
in Louisville, Ky. Summers was paralyzed
below the neck in a 2006 car accident, and in
2009 doctors decided to implant an
electrical stimulator onto his spinal cord
to try waking up his damaged nervous system.
Summers is now able to stand and move during
therapy sessions with the stimulator turned
on.

In this May 11 file publicity image released by
Fox, Haley Reinhart performs on the singing competition series
"American Idol" in Los Angeles. The bluesy 20-year-old vocalist
from Wheeling, best known for her signature singing snarl, was
revealed Thursday to have received the fewest viewer
votes on the Fox talent contest, leaving deep-voiced 17-year-old
singer Scotty McCreery of Garner, N.C., and soaring 16-year-old
songbird Lauren Alaina of Rossville, Ga., to compete on next week's
finale.
