Shoe Sensation is now open! Robin
Whitacre stands in the boot department of Lincoln’s newest
retail business: Shoe Sensation. Whitacre, a native of Lincoln,
has been hired as the store manager.
Tuesday afternoon the store was open for business, and
customers were buying. The store carries a full line of shoes
for the family, including work, dress and athletic. Commenting
on the new store, Whitacre said, “We have everything, and our
kids' section is awesome!”

basilica, where an art historian has spied a horned devil hidden in
the frescoed clouds. The Franciscans say the surprising detail in
the upper level of the basilica had
likely escaped notice for eight centuries despite all the attention
that Giotto's cycle of frescoes receives from art lovers.
Penn State football coach Joe Paterno gestures as his
son, Scott Paterno, ushers him past media members after arriving at
his home Tuesday in State College, Pa. Paterno's
support among the Penn State board of trustees was described as
"eroding" Tuesday, threatening to end the 84-year-old coach's career
