The 4-H grand champion steer of the 2012 Logan County Fair was named Thursday morning, and the honors went to Chase Aylesworth of Mount Pulaski. Chase is the son of Rick and Debbie Aylesworth. He's 19 and has spent his 4-H career as a member of the Mount Pulaski Toppers 4-H. As the grand champion, Chase and his steer were awarded the Randy Weston Memorial Plaque sponsored by Heartland Seed, a jacket presented by Doug DeMay of the Investment Center in Lincoln and a savings bond from Brandt Consolidated.
