The John B. and Winnie Harmsen Behrends Memorial Endowment Fund Scholarship has helped 38 Logan County students, with scholarships totaling approximately $80,000 to date.

Recently an appreciation dinner was held at Immanuel Lutheran Church to allow available scholarship recipients and their families to personally thank Bernard Behrends, son of John and Winnie Behrends, for the gracious gift the family has made to the community and its young people. Committee members Leonard Krusemark, Pastor Andrew Nyren and Wanda Rohlfs were also present.
