'Spooktacular Evening with Abe' Oct. 18 at presidential museum

SPRINGFIELD -- Families are
invited to come in costume and enjoy a "Spooktacular Evening with
Abe" on Oct. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential
Museum in downtown Springfield.

The event is suitable for all ages and includes historical
characters "haunting" the exhibit journeys, special eerie lighting
and music, a kids' costume contest with prizes, spooky storytelling
in Union Theater, a scavenger hunt, crafts and games, and a special
showing of "Ghosts of the Library." Refreshments will be provided,
and the museum's gift shop will be open during the evening.
The cost is $10 per family, and tickets must be purchased by

Children must be accompanied by adults, and adults in costume are
asked to refrain from wearing masks or hoods.
