Monday,
four very special ladies were honored with a luncheon at St. Clara's Manor. Marie Kurtz, Lavara Moore, Katie Dobey and Anna Strampp are this year's members of the very elite Centenarian Club. In order to be a
member, your age must exceed 100 years. While most of the
time a lady won't tell you how old she really is, there does come a
point when age is something to be proud of and something to celebrate. The ladies were joined by friends and family members and staff of St.
Clara's. See more of the party in the albums below.

evening, firefighter
Chris
Perrine was
sworn into
full-time
duty with
the Lincoln
Fire
Department. Perrine has
completed
his 12-month
probation
and training
period and
is now
considered a
permanent
member of
the
department. Chief Mark
Miller
congratulates
Perrine
after his
swearing-in. Miller said
Perrine came
to the
department
with
training and
experience
that made it
possible for
him to
start daily
training on
policy and
procedures,
driver
training,
rescue
training, and
live fire
training
immediately. Perrine
joined the
department
with his
Firefighter
II training
and his EMT
basic
training
already
completed,
both of
which are
requirements
of the city
department.

Saturday the Mount Pulaski Junior High Honeybears went 4-0 to finish
in first place in the Mount Pulaski volleyball
tournament. After their victory the Honeybears paused for a picture with their
coaches.
