Due to last year's drought, trees are suffering this year and even dying in the city of Lincoln. Recently the Lincoln City Council voted down an ordinance that would mandate the removal of dead trees from private property. This week, amid concerns about the drought damage and the arrival of emerald ash borer in Logan County, Alderwoman Jonie Tibbs asked the council to revisit that ordinance. The ordinance will once again return to the voting agenda in the near future.
