American Legion Auxiliary Unit 263 recently sponsored their annual Americanism Essay Contest, with 30 Logan County entries. Each of the top three winners in Logan County received a certificate and a cash prize from Auxiliary Unit 263. Marlene Schrader is the Americanism chairman. Two of the top three were students of Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln. Kathryn Nobbe was the first-place winner, with Katie Lynn coming in second. ZLS students Emma Cooper, Emily Messner, Elijah Burton and Ashlan Broom all received honorable mention.
