This picture postcard from Leigh Henson's Finding Lincoln, Illinois website shows the Lincoln train depot as it looked in 1911. The structure has undergone several transformations over the years, but it will soon be returned to its original state. Rumors that the city of Lincoln will demolish the building once it owns the property are incorrect. Last week Mayor Keith Snyder said the city is anxious to return the beautiful building to its original state. Read about the interview with Snyder and view more photos in the story and album below.
