On Friday morning, the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy Class of 2014 celebrated the completion of the ten-week program with a breakfast program and graduation ceremony.  LDN will have complete coverage of this event early next week.

Pictured are the two 2014 Larry Shroyer Award recipients for 2014; Rick Aylesworth with the Logan County Board and Kathy Horn of the Lincoln City Council. The two were presented their awards formally at their respective board/council meetings and also recognized at the annual Logan County Emergency Management chili supper held this week.

Bill Cosby played a sold-out comedy show on Friday in Florida despite a wave of sexual assault allegations this week that prompted the cancellation of several upcoming shows and two major studios to halt projects involving the comedian.

Lincoln Community High School senior Makenzie Cooper has been chosen as Athlete of the Month.

Makenzie holds a GPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale. She is a senior volleyball & softball player. She was a key member of our volleyball team that won a Regional title and advanced to the Sectional championship game.

Makenzie will play volleyball and softball at Lincoln College next year.

Makenzie is the daughter of Eric & Jody Cooper.

Sal Pollice - Edward Jones congratulates Makenzie and wish her the best of luck in the future.
