Andi Hake of the Logan County Alliance addresses the turnout on Tuesday for the groundbreaking ceremony at Copper Creek Cottages. Copper Creek will be a Memory Care Center located behind Timber Creek Village near Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. LDN will have more information on the groundbreaking in a future edition.

On Monday, Lincoln College hosted a special service of remembrance for the attack on Pearl Harbor that happened on December 7th, 1941. The solemn service featured the American Legion Post 263 Color Guard, special music by Lincoln College students, and a brief talk by LC College President Dr. David Gerlach. This year marks the 74th anniversary of the attack that then President of the United States Franklin Roosevelt noted as “a day that will live in infamy.”

The 8th grade West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverine Basketball Team clinched the IESA Regional Championship over Springfield Calvary by a score of 52-20.
