Flood warning: Clinton levy in danger of failure

 At 342 pm cst...de witt county emergency management indicated that a
 breech of a reservoir in clinton remains imminent...due to the
 excessive heavy rain. The reservoir in question is on the northeast
 side of clinton...not the northwest as was reported earlier. It is
 located north of north street as state highway 54 leaves the
 northeast part of town. Based on past failures of this reservoir...
 Flooding would occur on state highways 54 and 10 if a failure
 occurred.
 
 Extensive flooding of secondary roads continues across the remainder
 of De Witt county. There is also water covering state highway 10
 near Hallsville as well as near Clinton. While the heaviest rain has
 moved out of the area...the flooding will linger for some time.
 
 Some locations that will experience flooding include...
 Clinton...Farmer City...Wapella...Waynesville...Weldon...Kenney...De
 Witt...Lane...Midland City...Rowell...Hallsville...Clinton Lake Dam
 and Weldon Springs state park.
 
 This includes interstate 74 between mile markers 156 and 160.

The DaVita Way of Giving Foundation recently presented the Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois in Lincoln with a check for $1,000. The donation will be utilized by the Logan Mason Public Transportation program at CAPCIL. The LMPT provides vital transportation services to many of the patients of DaVita Dialysis. DiAnne Turner of CAPCIL, speaking for the agency and the LMPT program, said that Community Action wished to thank DaVita for their continued support of the transportation program publicly. The Lincoln Youth Wrestlers participated in the Chillicothe Open on Sunday and brought home several awards, including a champion win for Isaac Decker in the Intermediate Competition and, for the first time in his career, Lakin Adams took first place in his Bantam Division. Pictured above, the coach gets down on the same level with his team as the youngsters prepare for competition.
