At the Monday evening meeting of the Lincoln City Council, Cori Ingram was promoted to the position of Deputy Building and Safety Officer for the city.  Ingram was sworn into service to the city by Mayor Pro tem Marty Neitzel following a unanimous vote to appoint by the council.

The Christian Village Auxiliary honored Jackie Edlund Tuesday, July 14, during its quarterly business meeting, held on the campus of The Christian Village. Edlund received a special volunteer recognition certificate that read: "...For her faithful support of the work of The Christian Village as a volunteer and key person of the auxiliary. Thank you for serving as an officer of the Auxiliary and for taking such an active role in our Fall Craft and Bake Sale. We are grateful for your partnership in "bridging the gap" for our Seniors! You and Carl will be missed!" Jackie and husband Carl will be moving to Indiana after living and raising their family in Bloomington-Normal for many years.
