On
Friday evening members of the Lincoln City Council
met in Normal for the kick-off session of a
Strategic Plan workshop being held this weekend.
Leading the workshop was Katie Davison of the Center
for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois
University. The group spent the evening looking at
demographic data for Lincoln and comparing that data
to surrounding areas. Aldermen also reviewed the
information gathered through a public survey
conducted online at the end of January. The sessions
continue today, when the group will dig into setting
a vision and mission for the city and setting goals
for the future.
