A three semi-truck pile-up took place on northbound Interstate 55 north of Lincoln at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.  Atlanta Fire Dept took charge at the accident scene.  Air Evac made one transport and three ambulances were needed. Middletown Rescue was called for backup support for the Lincoln Rural Fire and Rescue. IDOT closed the northbound lane of the interstate for rescue workers to get through.

Pictured are students from Ms. Beth Ann Polley's first-grade class at Chester-East Lincoln. The class was one of the four local classrooms that received a grant award from the Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom program. All the classrooms received reusable gardening materials including an EarthBox® container, money to purchase soil and seeds, and related books and lessons to further the educational experience. The students are pictured with their garden project.

SPRINGFIELD - Portraits of every president from George Washington to Barack Obama will be on display at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum from May 20 through July 7, when the library welcomes C-SPAN’s “American Presidents: Life Portraits.”
