Work
has resumed at the Lincoln Depot. On Wednesday,
crews were spotted working inside the building as
well as outside. This week on Monday, the Lincoln
City Council approved change orders for the Depot's
construction crew that included additional dollars
invested. There were a number of reasons the changes
needed to be made, not the least of which was
because of the discovery of asbestos in the building
which will call for remediation. These additional
expenses must be approved and paid up front by
Lincoln, but the city will be reimbursed through the
High-speed Rail Program.
