On Tuesday, demolition began on another building in the four-corners region. The building was originally a farm implement dealership on Woodlawn Road and has also been several other businesses including J & S Auto and most recently Good Deal Used Cars. It will be the site for the new Casey's General Store. According to John Lebegue of the Lincoln Building and Safety office, the new business will be built on almost the same location as the demolished building. The store will be toward the back of the lot facing south with the gas pumps located between the store and Woodlawn Road.

Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210 presented a donation to the Lincoln Public Library District's "Read for the Win!" Summer reading program. Lincoln Lodge #210 provided a $50 donation, and The Grand Lodge of Illinois provided matching funds of $50 as part of their Coins for Children program. The Grand Lodge's Coins for Children program assists local Masonic Lodges to expand and extend charitable efforts in their communities. The library's summer reading program allows children and teens to set individual reading goals and earn incentive prizes, as well as participate in a variety of exciting and educational activities.
