On
Wednesday evening, guests formed a neat line
going booth to booth at the Land of Lincoln CEO
Tradeshow. This is the second year of the
entrepreneurial program that culminates in a
show where students pitch their own small
business to the public. For these students, the
tradeshow represents the ending of a school year
of extra studies done before and after high
school classes. Students learned the ins and
outs of business ownership, then created and
managed a small business of their own. Many of
the students plan to maintain their businesses
after they graduate from the LLCEO program. Some
of students said the business they created is
now a career goal. Others indicated they would
at least use their business as additional income
during and possibly even after college.
LDN will have additional coverage from the
tradeshow in the Friday edition.
