On
Tuesday evening, the Lincoln City
Council by unanimous vote approved the
purchase of a new aerial ladder truck
for the Lincoln Fire Department. The
vehicle, which must be custom built due
to size restrictions for the garaging of
the vehicle, will cost $1,125,107. Also,
because it will be custom made, it will
take about one year for the new truck to
arrive in Lincoln. Multiple bids were
received for the new truck with E-One
being the company that best met the size
restrictions and overall cost of the
truck.
