On
Saturday afternoon guests enjoyed
looking at pieces from the Terry Lowe
collection pertaining to Lowe's
great-great-great Uncle Thaddeus Lowe,
the Civil War Balloon Corps, and Abraham
Lincoln. The display was set up as part
of a presentation by the Terry Lowe
about his ancestor and the history of
balloon usage during the Civil War for
the purpose of spying on Confederate
troops. The program held at the Johnston
Center at Lincoln College was hosted by
the Logan County Genealogical and
Historical Society.
