LDN kicks off this week's Paint the Paper Pink project with four photos that represent a wide variety of people within the Logan County community. First, the staff and one tiny helper from Debbie's Downtown Floral, then the staff and residents from Friendship Manor, next the lovely ladies from the Illinois National Bank in Mount Pulaski and finally, the equally lovely ladies from Timbercrest Veterinarian Services. Again the wide variety of people who have stepped up and said they wanted to be a part of supporting breast cancer awareness is just astounding.

It shows up that people do care about their neighbors, their friends, their customers who are battling breast cancer, and they also share in the celebration of those who are survivors.

We also want to note that the folks at Friendship Manor are holding a lovely lap blanket identical to the one they donated for the Pink Pumpkin Fundraiser Auction earlier this month.

Members of the Logan County Tourism Bureau Board sit down to enjoy a meal provided last week by the Mount Pulaski Township Historical Society and Museum. The group was invited to hear all the restoration work that is ongoing in Mount Pulaski, in particular the continued preservation of the famous courthouse at the heart of town where Abraham Lincoln practiced.
