On
Friday evening, folks gathered around the Logan County Courthouse
Square in Lincoln to witness the inaugural tree lighting ceremony
for Winter Wonderland. There were more than 40 Christmas trees
decorated and lit for the holiday season. Each tree was beautifully
decorated by its sponsor. Sponsors included local businesses,
organizations or individuals and families. After the lighting,
visitors spent a good deal of time walking around the courthouse
lawn on the west side admiring the trees. It is hoped that the
Winter Wonderland will become an annual event in Lincoln.

Julie
Tarter of Mary Todd Hallmark in Lincoln was one of many happy shop
owners on Saturday in Lincoln. Small Business Saturday returned to
Lincoln with a lot of fanfare this past weekend and the shoppers
responded. Many of the stores reported excellent sales and the shop
owners were all excited about the little extra's that were included
in this year's event.

edition.
