On
Wednesday morning, the sidewalk at the southwest corner
of Broadway and Kickapoo Streets looked pretty bad.
That's how it is sometimes, things get worse before they
get better, but the outcome is still positive.
Tuesday night at the regular meeting of the Lincoln City
Council, it was noted that the last of the intersection
stop signals to be removed seems to be the most
complicated one.

Nonetheless, Alderman Kevin Bateman pointed
out that the downtown businesses were happy
with the switch from lights to signs as
traffic control devices. He said he was also
pleased as the new signage leaves each
intersection looking open, clean and
inviting.
